Contrary to popular belief not all rock icons get their own “Day†on the world famous Sunset Strip. It’s an honor that’s given to the few, the platinum selling, and the top dogs. With that said nothing would seem more fit or compelling than awarding the legendary online slots Joan Jett
at the 2013 Sunset Strip Music Festival in Los Angeles with her very own “Day.â€
Council members, present day chart topers, models, and dear friends alike all gave tribute to the rock icon that braved the sometimes quite baneful beast that is the music industry. Being turned down from one record company to the next and then having the uncanny ability to continue on like nothing happened is why Joan Jett is Joan Jett.
I Love Rock and Roll, Bad Reputation, and Crimson and Clover were all some of the massive hits that were released with a tasteful badass bite by Joan at the House Of Blues during her impeccable performance. Every song seemed to inject the crowd with a time traveling potion of pureness and nostalgia.
Joan will release her first album in more than seven years titled “Unvarnished,†on October 1st..
