FamJamily Music & Arts Festival
Preview By: Zachary Franck
Set along the beautiful Appalachian trail in the rolling hills of northern New Jersey, FamJamily Music & Arts Festival will take place from May 30th to June 1st. The idea became a reality with the hard work and talent of New Jersey native and musician, Jordan Koza. Music has been an enormous part of his life whether he’s been on stage or in the crowd. With his experience of seeing and playing music over the years, he’s worked to put together a team of passionate yet diligent, creative people. Over the past six months, they poured their heart and souls into making ‘FamJamily’ a reality. Now with under a month left before the first day of the festival, everybody on board is adding the finishing touches to their work.
There will be two performing stages, an electric one and an acoustic one. The festival will also include reasonably priced art and food vendors. Koza and friends built an amazing lineup for a festival in its first year. The power trio from Brooklyn Consider the Source will be playing a spectacular headlining set; they never disappoint. Other bands at the top of the lineup include Jimkata, The Primate Fiasco, Juggling Suns and Aqueous. The three bands that I’d make sure to catch are MUN, Jordan Koza Family Band and, of course, ShwiKus (FiKus + ShwiZz). All patrons will have two options for late-night music: there will be a silent disco and an all-acoustic bonfire stage to ensure that everyone is having fun until the early hours of the morning.
I really believe in this festival, and I am both grateful and excited to be a part of its first year. Tickets are available online as well as at the gate. To find out more about FamJamily Music & Arts Festival, check out their Facebook page. I cannot wait to see how this festival turns out!
