On August 21, Radio 92.9 presented the Dirty Heads as part of the “Copley Concert Seriesâ€. One Thursday of each month, during the summer, Radio 92.9 holds a free concert that takes place at Copley Square in Boston, MA. The band was recently touring for their new album, released in July, entitled Sound of Change and is closing up their summer tour with a few more small shows in VT and CT.
The Dirty Heads brought a massive crowd of blankets and stoners to the lawn of Copley Square Thursday afternoon in anticipation to see them perform their new album. Although it was a daytime, outdoor show, the Dirty Heads brought all the energy and noise of a nighttime venue, showing that they weren’t holding anything back. Along with the usual dancing and screaming, there was even a bottle of champagne popped all over the crowd by an audience member in the middle of the park. The band put on an incredible performance as the people of Boston have come to expect over the years of sold out shows across the north east. If you weren’t lucky enough to see them during their summer tour, they’re starting a fall tour in October with support by Rome from Sublime.
