Thursday night was an awesome night to be at House of Blues in Boston, MA. Rebelution killed it, along with Iration, The Green, and Stick Figure on their Count Me In tour. The staff and security were helpful and friendly right from the beginning, which hasn’t always been the case for many people at this venue. It was really a nice change and made the show that much better. Right from the beginning I was ecstatic to see that there was aDSC_5045 copy_533x800 live painter on stage. I was absolutely blown away watching him create these amazingly realistic and beautiful paintings making it look like it was nothing.

The music was nothing but positive energy and west coast style fun. First up was Stick Figure, originally from Duxbury, MA. Their upbeat reggae tone was awesome and was a solid start for what was to come. Next up was The Green, hailing from Oahu, Hawaii. This band really blew me away. Along with loving their reggae soul sound, I DSC_4927 copy_601x800loved that they switched lead vocals so often. This band is going far and you should definitely keep an eye on them.

Next up was Iration from Santa Barbara, CA, although all the members are originally from Hawaii. This band had a ton of fans in the crowd and I definitely became one after their set. They had an awesome deep reggae rhythms that mixed with pop and rock sounds to create an awesome and unique. They played some of their songs from their most recent album Automatic including “One Way Check”, “Back Around”, “Mr. Operator”, “Automatic”, and a great cover of “Last Dance With Mary Jane” originally by Tom Petty.

Last but certainly not least was Rebelution, who made one of the most epic entrances I have seen. An amazing saxophone solo turned into “Sky Is The Limit” off of their Piece Of Mind album. They also played songs off of their first album, Courage To Grow, including “Safe and Sound”, as well as newer songs such as “Good Vibes”, “So High”, “Lost in Dreams”, “Notice Me”, and “Roots Reggae Music”. This band as been getting really big and rightfully so. They have an amazing sound and songs that you will be singing in your head for days after hearing them.

The Count Me In tour is continuing through the summer and Rebelution will be playing at a bunch of festivals including The Hudson Project, for which we are giving away tickets to! For a chance to win just CLICK HERE!
